Refund Policy
The short version:
- If Turtle Tag Plus isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of buying and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked.
- If Plus doesn't work as it should, you're covered by the Australian Consumer Law at any time, not just in the first 14 days.
What this covers
The free game costs nothing, so there's nothing to refund. This policy covers Turtle Tag Plus, the optional one-time purchase.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Turtle Tag Plus comes with automatic consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply to digital products just like anything else you buy. Plus must:
- be of acceptable quality: it works, and it's free from faults
- be fit for the purpose we said it's for
- match how it's described, for example the modes, arenas and other content listed
If it doesn't, what you're entitled to depends on how big the problem is:
- A major problem, for example Plus won't unlock after you paid, its content won't load, or it's very different from its description: you can choose a full refund or a replacement (we'll unlock it again or fix the purchase).
- A minor problem, for example a single glitch in one mode: we'll fix it within a reasonable time. If we can't, or it takes too long, you can have a refund.
These rights don't run out after 14 days, and nothing in this policy or our Terms of Use takes them away.
Change of mind: our 14-day promise
The law doesn't require a refund if you simply change your mind, but we give one anyway: within 14 days of buying Plus, you can have a full refund for any reason.
How to get a refund
- Email Hello@tidal-robotics.com from the address on your receipt, or reply to the Stripe receipt email.
- Include the receipt number. You don't need to give a reason for a change-of-mind refund, but if something didn't work, please tell us so we can fix it.
- We refund the full price to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.
Once refunded, Plus is switched off on the devices where it was unlocked.
Purchases made by a child
Plus is meant to be bought by a grown-up, and the game asks a grown-up check first. If a child bought it without permission, write to us and we'll refund it.
If you live outside Australia
- UK and EU: digital content normally has a 14-day right to cancel. It ends once the download starts, if you agreed to that at checkout. Our 14-day refund applies either way.
- Everywhere: you keep any consumer rights your own country gives you. This policy adds to them; it never replaces them.
Still not sorted?
If we can't agree, you can contact the Office of Fair Trading in Queensland, or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory. The ACCC also explains your rights at accc.gov.au.
